Our podcast pick - The Garden Podcast

I really enjoyed listening to this informative monthly podcast presented by Chris Young, editor of The Garden magazines.  Designed to complement the print content, it goes deeper into topics covered, with interviews with designers as well as a wide range of horticulturists and experts on everything from fruit trees and vegetable growing to compost.

Each episode is a pick and mix of topics, packed with really specific specialist knowledge.  I particularly enjoyed the plant rants, a regular discussion on specific plant species, such as bergenia or hypericums with lots of tips on the best varieties to grow.

The podcast also has behind the scenes access to Royal Horticultural Society gardens and shows such as Chelsea, and the people involved.  Whether you get the magazine and want to delve deeper or are fresh to the content, it’s an excellent listen.
