Garden Masterclasses

Whether you’re an amateur or professional, there’s always so much to learn in the world of horticulture and garden design.  This is something garden designer Annie Guilfoyle is passionate about, which is why she, together with horticulturalist Noel Kingsbury, has set up a programme of horticultural events aimed at bringing together gardeners and designers with the very best industry leaders.  Tutors include everyone from Dan Pearson and Fergus Garrett to up-and-coming names such as Katy Merrington, the ‘Cultural Gardener’ at The Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield.

Until Covid 19 struck, these events have featured inspiring, interactive workshops with small groups in wonderful gardens and nurseries all over Britain and Europe.  The restrictions have meant rescheduling forthcoming events to 2021 – more to be revealed from December in the newsletter.  In the meantime, a fantastic online programme includes free broadcast interviews every Thursday (at 6pm), featuring guests from all over the world - from Jodhpur to Buenos Aires - on everything from rewilding to cultivating sweet peas.  These are available to watch free on The Garden Masterclass YouTube channel.  There are also three to four webinars per month and past webinars can be viewed on the Garden Masterclass Vimeo channel.  This winter’s line up includes Dan Pearson on ‘Gardens For Life’, Jo McKerr on  ‘Gardened Meadows’, and Hester Forde on  ‘Snowdrops.’
